THE TUDORS, which concluded filming in Bray this year, has scooped two awards at the Emmys. Irish costume designer, Joan Bergin, and wardrobe supervisor, Susan O'Connor Cave, won an Emmy on Saturday night at the Creative Arts Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, for their work on ' The Tudors'.

The series also picked up a gong for Art Direction. The announcement was made last week at a separate ceremony to the main one which took place on Friday.

Filming of the final series, of the hugely popular period drama, has recently been completed in Ardmore Studios. The drama starred Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Henry VIII, James Frain and Henry Cavill amongst others.

This is Bergin's third Emmy for Outstanding Costumes. She won her first, also for ' The Tudors' in 2008. In 2007 both, Bergin and O'Connor Cave, along with costume supervisors Ger Scully and Jessica O'Leary won awards.
