THERE WILL be plenty of Madness in the Mermaid this weekend as the Sheevawn Musical Group take to the stage with the hit musical Our House. This is the Irish premiere of the award winning West End show featuring the music of Madness. Our House is an epic, passionate and fast moving romantic comedy that begins one summer's evening in North London, the night of Joe Casey's 16th birthday when he commits a petty crime to impress the girl he loves.

When the police arrive young Joe is faced with one of those crossroad choices we all face at certain points in our lives...stay or run.

Our House follows the two courses his life would have taken had he stayed to face the music or had he made a run for it. Hits from the show include It must be love, Baggy Trousers, Driving in My Car, My Girl and many more. Karl Kelly takes on the role of Joe Casey while Eimile Sheehy is his love interest Sarah. The show is produced by Siobhan Gallagher and choreographed by Yvonne Prendergast. Musical director is John Morris and there is a cast of 28 people who have worked tirelessly to ensure they have a hit on their hands.

The show will run in the Mermaid Theatre from August 12 to August 14 and from August 17 to August 21 at 8pm.

Tickets are €20 except on opening night, August 12, when all tickets will cost just €12. For tickets contact the Mermaid Booking Office on 01 2724030.
