THE SHOOS made a music video on Bray's bandstand last weekend, for their single 'Distance.'

The band members, all based around the Shankill and Cabinteely areas, had to toughen up to the cold but managed to have some fun filming scenes in a makeshift dining room, bedroom and sitting room.

The Shoos have been together for three years and are rhythm section Steve and Scott Maher on bass and drums, Barry Plunkett on guitar and 'Texas,' whose given name remains a closely guarded secret, on lead vocals.

The video for Distance was made by director Simon Eustace, who moonlights as a member of The Chapters, as well as Michael Lavelle who won a cinematography award at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival.

The film will reach Youtube and the web at large in around five weeks. For more information go to www.theshoos.com or find them online on facebook and myspace.

GREASE REALLY was the word when the Transition Years of St Gerard's School put on an excellent performance of the famous musical recently.

With only a few weeks to rehearse the Transition Years wowed audiences with all the old favourites from 'Greased Lightning' to 'Summer Nights' as well as the most famous 'You're The One That I Want' on offer.

Declan Kenney was cool as can be in his portrayal of Zucko, while Emma Toal-Lennon goes from sweet and innocent to the T-Birds dream girl as Sandy.

Keith Carroll strutted his stuff as Kenickie as he gets teased for his new 'old' car 'Greased Lightning and Caoimhe O'Toole shone as the tough and bossy leader of the Pink Ladies, Rizzo.

Not to forget the other T-Birds Doody (Stephen Mulrooney) Roger (David Cregan) and Sonny (Tom Noonan), as well as the famous Pink Ladies Frenchie (Lauren Keating), Jan (Aoife Kenna) and Marty (Alannah O' Caoimh).
