HOLY REDEEMER PARISH

Prayer Group: This Group meets in the Side Chapel every Monday at 8 p.m.

Scripture Group: The Group meets in the upper room of the Coffee Dock every Tuesday morning from 11 a.m. to 12 Noon.

Silent Holy Hour: This take place in the Side Chapel each Friday from 11 a.m. until 12 Noon.

Lent 2010: Daily Mass will be 7.45 a.m., 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.; A booklet entitled 'Called to be Holy' containing daily reflections and prayers is available with the catholic papers at a cost of just €1.

Lenten Programme: This has been put together by the four Catholic parishes of Bray with the theme of "Praying with women in Luke". The programme continues next Monday March 8; 'Praying with the scriptures (Lectio Divina)' hosted by Our Lady Queen of Peace Church; Monday Wednesday March 15: 'Christian Meditation' hosted St. Peter's Church, Little Bray; Monday March 22: Taize in St. Fergal's Church, Ballywaltrim. Each evening will begin at 7.30 p.m. and will finish with a cup of tea/coffee. All are welcome. Please note the new dates for St. Peter's and Our Lady Queen of Peace.

Planning Ahead: A blitz on St, Luke's Gospel will take place on Saturday March 27 from 9.30 a.m. to 12 Noon in the Little Flower Hall.

Youth Choir: The 7.30 p.m. Youth Choir is looking for new members. The age group of the choir is 15-25 years and practice takes place in the church before Mass. If you are interested and would like information you can contact Thomas on 085-1560006.

Lourdes 2010: Our annual pilgrimage to Lourdes takes place from September 7th to September 12. The cost is €699pps. Limited single room supplements available €175. Contact the Parish office with booking deposit of €100 from 9.30am to 12 Noon Monday to Friday. Call 01-2868413.

World Day of Prayer: a service will take place on Saturday morning on Our Lady Queen of Peace Church at 11.30 a.m. The theme is 'Let everything that has breath praise God' and the service has been prepared by the women of Cameroon. All men and women are welcome to attend.

Free English Classes: These are given by voluntary teachers at Five Loaves on Thursdays from 7-9 p.m. Anyone wishing to learn English are welcome - contact Jim on 2867516. The classes have been organised by Failte Isteach in co-operation with Bray Partnership. For further information visit www.thirdagefoundation.ie.

BRAY LIBRARY

The opening hours for Bray Library, Eglinton Road are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. Enquiries and renewals, phone 2862600 or email braylibrary@eircom.net.

Bray Library hosts four Book Clubs once a month. Please ask the Library for the date of the next meeting of each of these groups.

CUALANN SOCIETY

The reminder of the Cualann History Society's Spring 2010 programme is as follows - Thursday March 18: 'The Vartry Water Supply Scheme to Dublin ' (Dr. Ron. Cox); Thursday April 15: 'A Tour Around the World in 1847 – A Wicklow Perspective' (Turtle Bunbury) and Thursday May 20: 'Irish Post Boxes ' (Stephen Ferguson).

All welcome to attend these lectures which take place at 8pm on the third Thursday of the month in the Bray Chamber of Commerce House, 10 Prince of Wales Tce, Bray. New members / visitors especially welcome. All are welcome to attend especially members from other local history societies.

GOOD NEIGHBOUR

The March 'Good Neighbour Morning' of the Bray Active Retirement Association takes place on Friday at 10.45 a.m. in the Little Flower Hall, and tea and biscuits will be served. The Association is open to all those aged 50 years and over. New members are always welcome.

PRESENTATION MASS

On Sunday morning the Annual Mass for Past Pupils of Presentation College, Bray, will be celebrated at 11.30 a.m. in the College by College Past Pupil Fr. Eddie Creamer.

All past pupils of Presentation College and their families are welcome to attend and light refreshments will be served afterwards. Further information available from the Secretary Seamus McCormack on 086-3130317.

TABLE QUIZ

Tomorrow night (Thursday) a table quiz organised by the Bray and District Trade Unions Council will take place in the Strand Lounge, Bray at 8 p.m. Tables of four are €4.

NO DART SERVICE

This Sunday due to essential engineering in Dun Laoghaire railway station there will be no DART service between Lansdowne Road and Dun Laoghaire and shuttle buses will operate between these two locations.
