Community Games starts with a party

The 2010 season for Enniskerry and District Community Games kicked off with a party in the Bog Meadow, Enniskerry last Saturday afternoon.
This event was to encourage all budding athletes to sign up for the regular training sessions which commenced on Tuesday 2nd March (6 - 7 p.m.) at St. Mary's GAA Field in Enniskerry. An appeal is made to all parents of children who live in either Enniskerry or Kilmacanogue parish to encourage their children aged over five to become involved in the training.
They also would also like to see parents become involved with the committee who organise these games. In recent years the training has been most successful with large numbers of children turning up to enjoy keeping fit on the brighter evenings of spring and early summer.
All parents in Kilmacanogue are strongly encouraged to get your children involved on the first step of that Olympic Gold medal as the Community Games is where it all started for many of our Irish Athletes.
