Enniskerry Old Folks will be celebrating early with a Christmas Party in the Parochial Hall this coming Saturday at 3 p.m. Anyone looking for information should contact either Betty or Judie.
SHOPPING
The Late night shopping in Enniskerry village will take place on Wednesdays December 9, 16 and 23. There will be Mulled Wine, Mince Pies go leor along with local choirs singing at the Town Clock .The Alpine Village looks so nice with its white lights so a visit is a must.
GAA CLUB MEETING
The Annual General Meeting of the Enniskerry took place last week in the Club House at Pairc na Sillogue. The attendance missed some who were not notified for some reason.
RAINED OFF
Once again Enniskerry soccer teams were badly affected by the rainlast weekend with games called off.
HISTORY SOCIETY
Members and supporters of the Enniskerry History Society are asked to note that the Powerscourt Arms Hotel will be venue for theThursday December 10 meeting of the Society at 8.30 p.m., at which Brian White will present his lecture 'Enniskerry 1830-1930' and all are welcome to attend.
This will the second part of a 2-part lecture, the first part of which 'Hidden Secrets of the Dargle Valley' was presented last night (Tuesday) to the Kilmacanogue History Society.
In his illustrated presentation 'Enniskerry 1830-1930' Brian White will trace the Dargle and Glencullen Rivers and the major events that happened in Enniskerry Village and District between 1830 and 1930.
During Brian's presentation the following questions will be answered: Where is Woolley Hill? Where was Enniskerry Race Course? Who was Enniskerry's blind Member of Parliament? What's the Scottish connection with Enniskerry?
