TABLE QUIZ

Enniskerry Y.C. are holding a table quiz on Friday March 5 in Powerscourt Country House Hotel starting at 8 p.m. Tables of 4 are €40, with lots of prizes.

GAA TRAINING

Paul Wrynne and John Tobin are making progress with the GAA team training after the long lay off, and the panel is building up but not yet at full strength. New players are welcome.

SOCCER

It was back to winning ways for Enniserry Y.C. last sunday after dropping their first points the previous week. A 2-1 win keeps them clear of the chasing group.

HISTORY SOCIETY

The Enniskerry History Society continues its Spring 2010 programme with a presentation by Seamus O'Connor from the Dun Laoghaire Borough Historical Society on Thursday March 11 at 8.30 p.m. tracing 'The Story of Old Dunleary'.

This will cover the history of the major ferry port which over the past 300 years has been known called Dunleary, Kingstown from 1822 to 1920, and Dun Laoghaire since 1920. This illustrated lecture will take place in the A.O.H. Hall, and all are welcome to attend, especially members of other local history societies. In April Tom Moran will return to speak on 'The Irish Emigrant' on Thursday April 8 which will be the concluding lecture in the Spring 2010 programme.
