RACES
There is a Cheltenham Preview Night in Powerscourt Arms Country House tomorrow night Thursday March 11 with a panel of Jockeys ,Trainers under the M.C Matt Chapman we should all take our notepads to note the winners. First "race " review is at 7.30 p.m
FIRST MATCH
The ladies of Enniskerry G.A.A. finally took to the playing Fieds last Sunday when they travelled to Knockananna to take on the locals. The Ennsikery girls did not win but they enjoyed their game and had a great day. Well done and keep it up girls.
LOSS
It had to come Enniskerry Y.C. lost their first league game of the year on Sunday going down to Wicklow Rovers. Maybe all the stress and strain from the very enjoyable Table Quiz of Friday last was still on their minds abd caused them to be off the boil.
SENIORS NIGHT
Enniskerry Senior Citzens are celebrating St. Patrick's Day a littleearly with a Social night on March 16 in Powerscourt Arms all are welcome - idir og is aoiste..
FG BRANCH AGM
The Ennikerry/ Kilmacanogue branch of Fine Gael held their A.G.M. in Enniskerry on March 1.
The meeting was chaired by John Leeson the members were addressed by Joe Corcoran on a range of subjects including the the Bank Crisis, Nama etc more high profile speakers are planned to follow after the local Enniskerry man's interseting talk.
The attendance included Andrew Doyle T.D., and County Councillors John Ryan, Mick Glynn and Simon Harris
GARDEN CLUB
Enniskerry Garden Club will meet on April 7 in the Parish Hall. Members are reminded to bring a plant to swap.
HISTORY SOCIETY
Tomorrow night (Thursday) the March meeting of The Enniskerry History Society takes at 8.30 p.m. in the A.O.H. Hall, Church Hill, at which Seamus O'Connor from the Dun Laoghaire Borough Historical Society, will present his illustrated lecture ' The Story of Old Dunleary'. All are welcome to attend especially members of other local history societies.
In April Tom Moran will return to speak on 'The Irish Emigrant' on Thursday April 8 and will be the concluding lecture in the Spring 2010 programme.
