TABLE QUIZ Many thanks to all who participated in the table quiz in Byrne's Millroom on Thursday 26th August in aid of the Foyer Tonton Gilles Home in Niger, Africa. Over €400 was raised on the night, and the organisers would like to thank Val McGlynn for putting a very enjoyable quiz together.
PRIMARY SCHOOL LAUNCH
First day at the new amalgamated Kilcoole Primary School was a resounding success, with the new blue uniforms popular with all. Congratulations to all who made the amalgamation possible. THRIFT SHOP DONATIONS
The Thrift Shop will make three donations this month; firstly to Colaiste Chraobh Abhann to help provide a rubbish bin on the road to the school, secondly to Keep Kilcoole Tidy group, and thirdly to Sharpeshill Animal Sanctuary. RECYCLING FACILITY
There is a new recycling facility for small items located in Penny Lane courtyard, in front of the Thrift Shop. Here you can recycle the following items : Batteries, Corks, CDs and Printer Cartridges. THRIFT SHOP
Kilcoole Community Thrift Shop on Penny Lane is open Tuesday – Friday 11.00 – 5.00 and Saturday mornings from 11.00 – 2.00. Enquiries 087 2867611. Profits from the shop are donated each month to a different local group or charity.
