Swings at playground
SWINGS have been installed in Greystones Playground after a number were removed last year on health and safety grounds.
'I am pleased to see the council has now replaced these with three new swings,' said Deputy Simon Harris, a resident of Greystones.
He said that the playground facilities are relied upon by many local families. 'Other playground equipment had to be replaced after it was damaged by vandals,' he said. 'The council has committed to replacing the other playground equipment during the year, subject to funding.'
Harris said that while he is pleased that the council is continuing to maintain the playground, he is concerned about vandalism on the site.
'I have written to the Chief Superintendent outlining my concerns,' he said.
