YOUTH CLUB: Nineteen members of the Queen of Peace Adventure Youth Club enjoyed a night walk along the Dargle Valley. On Friday March 12 a night climb on the Big Sugarloaf is planned, and there will be a general knowledge quiz on the following Friday.

There are three remaining vacancies on the June climb on Snowdon. For details telephone Albert on 2860837.

BRAY DIVERS

Congratulations to Paul Tierney, Ronan Scott, Eoin Gorman, Nick Hampson, Aine McCarthy, Sean Kenny, and Vincent. All were participants on the Irish Underwater Council Rescue Diver Course which was held in the Queen of Peace Adventure Youth Club Clubrooms on Bray Seafront.

EASTER EGG QUIZ

Easter Eggstravaganza family quiz in aid of Christ Church will be on Saturday March 20 at 7 p.m. in Saint Andrew's National School, Newcourt Road. There will be special rounds for children, raffle, and spot prizes. Table for six costs €30.

PARENT/BABY/TODDLER

The Community Mothers Programme meets on the 3rd Wednesday of the month between 10.30 a.m. and 12 Noon in the Villa Pacis, Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Bray. For further information contact Marie at 0879188103.

PARISH NOTES

Parish Office Hours: The opening hours are 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Masses can only be booked during these hours.

Mass Times: Mass times are: 6.30 p.m. Saturday Vigil Mass, and on Sunday 9 a.m., 10.30 a.m., 12 Noon and 5.30 p.m. Weekday Masses are 10 a.m. and 1.05 p.m.

Parish Radio: Contact the Parish Office at 01-2745497 between 9.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. Radio receivers are available at a minimum cost of €26.

Coeliacs: At the moment all coeliacs who wish to receive Holy Communion come to the altar and receive from the chalice. Would it be more convenient if a small chalaice was available on the table near the sacristy door at Communion time? Please let Fr. Larry know your views on this.

Read St. Luke's Gospel: A short reflection and discussion on the Sunday readings from St. Luke's Gospel will take place after the 10 a.m. Mass on Wednesdays. Why not do it for Lent. Meeting dates are Tuesday March 16 and Wednesday March 24. A

Lenten Family Prayer: Once again we invite you as a family or individual to take part. A Prayer Leaflet and Candle and copy of Luke's Gospel are available. Please sign the sheet at the door of the Church as an indication of your commitment to take part.

Stations of the Cross: These will be held in the Church on Friday evenings at 8 p.m. on March 19 and March 26.

Holy Hour: A Holy Hour to include Rosary and Divine Mercy will also take place on Fridays March 12, April 9 and May 14. A Retreat Day will be held on Saturday May 29 led by Fr. Thaddeus Doyle, culminating with a special 12 Noon Mass on Sunday June 6 (Feast Of Corpus Christi).

Mass for Lent: There will be a 7.45 a.m. weekday Mass for Lent in Holy Redeemer and in our Church at 10 a.m. and 1.05pm Monday to Friday and 10 a.m. on a Saturday.

Novena of Grace: The will take place from tomorrow March 4 to March 12. Prayers will be said at the 10 a.m. and 1.05 p.m. Masses. It will be directed by Fr. Neville O'Donoghue.

Youth mass: The Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish Youth Group are planning to hold a Youth Mass on Sunday March 21 at10.30am. They invite all young people to come along to this special Mass. If you are a young member of the Parish and would like to know more or become involved contact Jessica or Anne on 087-7772127.

PERPETUAL ADORATION

This year Queen of Peace Parish celebrates 20 years of 24-hour Perpetual Adoration in the church. The Eucharist is exposed on the altar and there is a human presence in the Church every hour, each day and night of the year.

To continue with the adoration over the coming years they are looking for new members. If you can spare just one hour per week please contact the Queen of Peace Parish Office at 012745497.

ACTIVE RETIREMENT

The Vevay Active Retirement Association have activities ranging from Yoga, Arts and Crafts, Art and Table Tennis, trips to the theatre and visits to historic sites and holidays (at reduced cost). Annual membership fee is €10.

There will be outing to Wicklow Gaol this Thursday March 11, departing from the Church at 11.30 a.m., followed by a meal in the Martello. The cost is €25. For further information call Joan on 086-1015440.
