Armed robbers hit Jack White's
TRAPPED STAFF MEMBER RAISES ALARM

Forensic gardaí at Jack White's pub on the N11 between Arklow and Wicklow, following an armed robbery on Sunday night.
ARMED ROBBERS who targeted Jack White's Pub late Sunday night in search of cash would have fled the premises unnoticed had a young staff member who they locked in a store room not activated the alarm.
Two intruders entered the premises shortly after 12.30a.m. through the kitchen and threatened the employee at knifepoint and ordered him to take cash from the safe.
They then took his phone, locked him in a nearby store room and attempted to flee but were detected by another employee who was cleaning up and a small number of customers preparing to leave for the night.
The pair escaped with what is described as a substantial sum of money but nobody was injured.
A professional kitchen knife thought to have been used by them was recovered at the scene.
Garda Techinical Bureau officers carried out examinations of the scene early on Monday morning.
The men who had their faces well covered were described as being 5'7" and 5'11" in height and it is believed that a third person could have been waiting in a car that was heard outside at the time of the raid.
Gardaí in Arklow are investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone who noticed suspicious activity or vehicle in the area from 11.30p.m.-1a.m. that night, particularly anyone driving from Brittas Bay towards the N11.
