Info sign erected at Raheen car park

An information sign has been erected in the Raheen car park, following a campaign by Bray's CoastCare group, led by local man Seamus Connor.
Some maps are included on the sign, as well as tourist information, Bray CoastCare information and other interesting facts and figures about Bray, its history, amenities, and famous people.
I would recommend that you take a walk up and see it for yourselves,' said Seamus. Any additional information for this sign would be great.'
Seamus met up with Council Officials last week as well as a representative from Failte Ireland. He pointed out that many walkers going up the Bray Head or along the Cliff Walk would not see the new sign,
After some discussion, it was decided to order a brand new modern tourist information point for beside the picnic area at the bottom of the Raheen Car Park steps.
This point will be for tourists and visitors to the town,' said Seamus. The sign in the car park will be kept for local and community as well as CoastCare information.'
Another suggestion he put to them was that of a scenic vantage information point along the Cliff Walk. This would consist of a picture or photograph flat on a wall of the horizon and of what the eye can see.'
Seamus explained that it would include information such as Howth Head 26km, Dalkey 9km, Greystones 5km, and Arrows pointing to the various highlights.
The representative from Failte Ireland said he would look into ordering one of these from a company who specialize in them in County Kilkenny.
