Lock your cars: thieves at large
FOLLOWING A spate of break-ins involving cars in Delgany and Greystones, gardaí have appealed to people to lock their cars.
' They haven't all been break-ins as such as many of the cars were unlocked,' said Sgt. John Fitzpatrick. 'In an estate where four cars were targeted, three of them were not locked,' he said.
'Don't leave your car unsecured or you will be at the loss of your laptop, ipod, or sat nav,' he said. 'We would also urge people not to leave valuables of any kind in their vehicles. I understand that people can be bringing in the shopping or watching children but try to think of it last thing at night. Just open the window and press the button on your key to activate the central locking.'
