Man is accused of harrassing woman
BEFORE JURY CASE ADJOURNED FOR BOOK OF EVIDENCE
Wednesday March 10 2010
A BRAY MAN accused of harassing a woman at her South Dublin home has had his case adjourned to April for the book of evidence.
Part-time security guard Stephen Waldron (28), Ardmore Wood, is accused of harassing the woman over a two-month period last year. He faces a trial by judge and jury in the Circuit Court as the DPP directed that the charge was too serious for the District Court.
He appeared in Dun Laoghaire District Court last week charged with harassing the woman at her home, contrary to sections 10 and six of the Non Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997.
The alleged harassment of the woman took place on dates between January 26 and March 29 last year. The State sought eight weeks for the book of evidence and Judge John Lindsay was told the defence was consenting to the adjournment.
