Probation act applied
A BRAY man was given the benefit of the probation act when he appeared before Judge David Anderson at last week's sitting of Carlow District Court.
Eoin Shortt (23), 11 Thornhill View, Bray was charged with the unlawful possession of drugs at Tullow Street on July 24, 2011.
He pleaded guilty to the charge and the court heard Shortt was found in possession of €20 of Tfmpp. The court heard he had no previous convictions and had cooperated with gardai.
Acting for Shortt solicitor Joe Farrell said Shortt, he said, was an apprentice electrician who wanted to travel once he finishes his exams in the summer.
Judge David Anderson gave him the benefit of the probation act.
