Ryanair founder beefs up security

RYANAIR founder Declan Ryan has been granted permission to build a security lodge at his Enniskerry home after a number of robberies and security breaches.
Mr. Ryan, who lives on Cookstown Road, is also a shareholder in Asian low-cost airline Tiger airways.
Tiger has raised € 120 million in share issue on the Singapore stock market and Mr. Ryan also owns part of Ryanair and chairs a philanthropic foundation.
He is building a fourroom security lodge in a corner of the land around his home and has sought advice from two security companies.
Planners have noted it will be ' a curious addition' to the landscape and the description suggests it will be a mini watchtower, raised on wooden posts rather than requiring foundations to be built.
A tea station will provide hot drinks and snacks for two security guards who will also have the use of 16 surveillance cameras.
