St. Gerard's to host fine art exhibit for fourth time
ST. GERARD'S SCHOOL is to host the Cherrylane Fine Arts 4th annual contemporary fine art exhibition at the weekend, following three successful years of welcoming visitors to the charity event.
Festina Lente in Bray will benefit from the proceeds and the show will be on From Thursday March 4 to Sunday March 7. On Thursday and Friday it will be open from 2 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The show boasts over 200 works in a range of mediums and prices. Works in oil, drawings, ceramics, sculpture and fine art prints by some of Irelands leading contemporary artists will be on display.
The exhibition will include a Cherrylane Young Artist Award where all of the pupils submit art works to the gallery and they run a vetting, choose winners in each category and the winners are presented with a special award. The awards ceremony will be on the Friday evening.
All are welcome and purchasing is not compulsory. There will be tours for children and adults as well as a ceramicist on site showing how it's done.
