Surprise for Catherine on her 70th

CATHERINE MORAN was overwhelmed to discover that a 'quiet drink,' with her daughter was in fact a surprise 70th birthday attended by all her family and friends.
The Avoca Drive woman was joined by her husband Pat, daughter Sinead and sons Eamon and Padraic as well as her grandchildren, friends, relatives and neighbours.
Sinead had convinced Catherine to come out to the Strand last Saturday night where a crowd of people lay in wait to shout 'surprise,' as she made her entrance.
She almost ran in the opposite direction but once she got over the initial shock, Catherine enjoyed her special night immensely.
A keen Bray Wanderers and Arsenal fan, soccer-mad Catherine was glad to celebrate her birthday in the seafront pub where she and the Arsenal Supporters' Club normally watch the matches.
