Thrill The World' is a worldwide attempt at a Guinness World Record for the largest simultaneous dance of Michael Jackson's Thriller. Thousands of people in over 100 cities, on 6 continents, will learn the Thriller dance and perform it at the same time, all over the world.
Choir members Liam Hallahan, Stephen Dunphy, Barry Lonergan and Aisling Ryan are getting involved woth organising the Bray leg of the project.
Having received a Guinness Book of World Records certificate for having organised a similar event last year in Toronto, Canada, Inez Markeljevic is now asking world-wide groups and clubs to get involved and break the international record.
Markeljevic said that she was inspired to Thrill The World,' because she and her friends wanted to see communities uniting globally in the fun of joy and dance. Anyone can dance thriller, we have created a way of teaching the dance through videos that is accessible to anyone.'
The current world record for simultaneous dancing is held by the BBC, who held a big dance class' last year in Didcott, with almost 9,000 people participating and the legendary Bruce Forsyth presenting the show.
