Rail strike causes delays

The final hours of an eight-day strike within Irish Rail hit the east coast on Friday morning as disgruntled passengers were disrupted by the cancellation of the 11.35 from Dublin to Gorey. When asked if the train driver had phoned in sick, a representative of Iarnród Eireann confirmed that the disruption was part of an unofficial action by divers.
