BARNDARRIG: Training for adult football and hurling starts on March 22nd. All players to be togged out and on the pitch at 7 p.m. sharp. The first of Kieran O'Brien's quiz nights is on this Friday, 19th February at 8.30 all are welcome. There will be no childrens indoor hurling this week due to midterm break.

Tickets for the club dinner dance (takes place on Saturday, 27th February) will go on sale shortly, check club notes next week for details. The club is also excited to hear that Mervyn Travers is joining us. The Vodafone Support Your GAA Club is up and running and a big thank you to those who have already signed up to support the club. BALTINGLASS

Our lotto is still climbing at €11,350. Numbers last week were 3, 6, 13 and 24. Three people received €100: Celia Whelanl Holdenstown, Mick O'Keeffe, Parkmore, Graham Johnston, Ardglass. Most of our girls teams are back training while our U-14s had their first match against Ballyboden girls. A great work out and thanks to Ballyboden for their hospitality. Junior Ladies had a match against Lucan team last week, another good game. They train every Friday and Sunday morning. They were treated to a light breakfast last Sunday morning thanks to Paul, Paddy, Theresa and Breeda.

The girls enjoyed it the day that was in it. Our Juvenile (boys) section of the club are holding a meeting on Wednesday, February 24th at 8.30 p.m. in the club house. Nominations for Chairperson and Secretary are invited for the coming yesr.We always welcome new members and anyone that is interested in any way please come along. Senior Scór is the end of February. Any participants for quiz, recitation, solo-singing (male/female), Irish trad groups and Irish dancers. Entrants over 17. Anyone interested in representing our club contact Caitriona Tynan 086-2361424 for details. Well done to the Wicklow lads, one win under their belts.

VALLEYMOUNT

The club lotto numbers were 11, 12 18 and 20. No jackpot winner so next draw on the 27th February. The jackpot will be €4,300. The €25 winners were Willie Kavanagh, Seán Geoghegan, Eamonn Byrne snr, Catherine Kavanagh.

Well done to the Valleymount national school boys who played very well in the blitz in Dunlavin.

Congratulations to the Wicklow ladies who had a good win over Westmeath in the league. Also well done to the Wicklow footballers and hurlers who both won last weekend.

The Valleymount youth club is going from strength to strength. The juniors enjoyed a movie night last weekend and were served with lovely warm popcorn. Plenty of activities available to suit all tastes, pool, darts, xbox, wii, music, comfy beanbags to relax and chat and even a snack bar. I believe there maybe a makeup night coming soon and a music night, so get down and see whats happening. 5th and 6th class 6.30 to 8 p.m. and secondary students 8 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. €2.

AVONDALE

Nothing happening on the playing fields as yet but Senior hurling training continues every Wednesday and Friday and football training every Tuesday and Thursday.

The Juvenile A.G.M. took place last Wednesday night with the following officers elected: Chairman: Seamas Doyle; Secretary: Sean Hayes; Treasurer: Liam Kelly; Assistant Treasurer: Brenda Kinsella; P.R.O.: Michéle McGraynor; Juvenile Liaison Officers: Paddy Sheehan and Helen Penn.

Thank you to Owen Doyle and Pat Baker, who stepped down as officers of the juvenile club, for all their help and input into the club over the years. Presentation for the 2009 season for all juveniles who played hurling and football takes place in the complex this coming Sunday, 21st February at 3.00.

DONARD-GLEN

Our footballers are having a good response to their training sessions. There will be a seven-a-side tournament starting on Sunday next at 11.00 a.m. in Donard. This is for all Juniors and Seniors old and young so get your boots on.

The ladies club are looking for someone to assist in training for the coming year. Contact Secretary at 0872732265.

Dinner Dance on Friday, February 26th, €30 per ticket. Don't leave it to the last minute to get your tickets.

The Men's Football, Camogie and Ladies Club still have some tickets for sale.

The lotto was won last Monday night. Anne McGrath (Baltinglsss) scooped the Jackpot worth €8,250. We start off again at €2,500. The winning numbers were 6, 7, 9 and 10.

We have two lads on the U-21 panel, Niall Curran and Dermot Daly. They play their championship first round in Aughrim on Sunday next against Longford. Best of luck lads.

ENNISKERRY

Enniskerry U-8 and U-10 indoor hurling is now finished until the end of the year, the good news is that outdoor hurling will start again for U8 and U10 on Tuesday 23rd February from 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. and football for U-8 and U10 will start again on Friday, 26th February from 7 p.m.-8 p.m., looking forward to seeing you all there. This year we are lining up some of the top coaches to come along for a few nights to share their experience with us, we will keep you up to date with the details later in the season.

We are also going to start a nursery for 4-6 year olds starting on Friday, 9th April from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. This will be a fun program for young girls and boys and will be very basic training and balance skills. Please look at our website for up to date notes and fixtures, www.enniskerrygaa.com.

We also need more girls to join the football and hurling in all ages, so if you are interested please come along and join in the training and see how fun it is.

NEWTOWN

Congratulations to Rian O'Loughlin who scored the winning try for St. Gerard's rugby team against Blackrock in the Leinster School's Senior Cup. Well done, Rian!

Please note that club membership fees are now due and must be paid in order to ensure membership for the coming year. Senior Membership is €40 and Juvenile Membership is €15. There will be a registration night in the Newtown GAA Clubhouse on Wednesday, 3rd March at 7 p.m. and on Wednesday 7th April at 7 p.m. All those who wish to become members or renew their memberships are asked to attend on those nights. For anyone who wishes to pay beforehand, they can contact Brian Doyle (Senior Registrar) or Brigid Davis (Juvenile Registrar).

Our club training sessions are back up and running and are taking place every Tuesday and Thursday night and all players are welcome to attend.

TINAHELY

Tinahely Ladies Club would like to thank everyone who supported the table quiz on Friday night.

The night was successful, however more support from juvenile parents is required and more voluntaries to help with fundraisers and the basic running of the club for the continued success and development of the Ladies Club. The club would like to thank Centra and Murphy's Hotel for the donation of spot prizes for the raffle also.

Tinahely GAA Race Night will be held in Black Toms on Friday, 5th March. Horses are on sale now and are widely available from committee members and players. Please show your support to the GAA club by purchasing a horse or attending on the night it promises to be a great nights entertainment. All support is very much appreciated.

The club wishes Stephen Dillon and Brian Walsh the best with the Wicklow U21 team who play Longford in Aughrim this Sunday, 21st February. Congratulations to both the Wicklow hurlers who won the Kehoe Shield on Sunday and to the Wicklow footballers who also claimed victory in the league in Aughrim on Sunday.

Patrick O'Rourke was a member of the County Vocational Schools squad who reached the Leinster final but unfortunately were beaten by Meath recently.

21st Birthday wishes to Pádraig Murphy who celebrates his 21st on Friday in Black Toms.

Finally club members (players in particular) are requested to get their membership fees in as soon as possible as all players will have their own unique registration number in Croke Park, the prompt payment of each players membership fee is vital for insurance purposes and to have each player registered online.

STRATFORD-GRANGECON

Senior and Junior training continues this week. The nights are changed, just for this week, to Monday and Wednesday at 7.30 p.m.

The juvenile committee would like to thank everybody who attended the first meeting of 2010 which was very well attended and look forward to your continued support for the coming season. A big thank you to all that took positions, best of luck to all mentors and players for the coming year. Registration day and the first training session will take place on Saturday, 6th March at 11 a.m. Looking forward to seeing you all.

The next adult committee meeting will be on Wednesday night, February 24 at 8.30 p.m. in the clubhouse.

BLESSINGTON

Our ladies started back training on Thursday, 11th February, and will continue to train on a Thursday nights at 7.30 p.m. for the moment. The ladies manager is Lorcan Clarke and the training team is Paddy Brophy, Shan Breen and J. Daniels. If there is any new lady players interested in playing football for Blessington, they should contact Jessica Carroll at 086 8602822.

GLENEALY

Glenealy Juvenile Hurling Club is holding its AGM in the clubhouse on Wednesday, February 17 at 8 p.m. All new members are very welcome to attend. DUNLAVIN

DUNLAVIN Dunlavin GAA Lotto results for Monday, February 8, are as follows: There was no Jackpot winner. The numbers were 4, 5, 16 and 24. One match 3 winner, John Allen. He won €250.00. AN TOCHAR

The final of the Ladies 7s was played last Saturday week, which saw managers originating from all parts of Wicklow meeting in the final as Jeny Miley's team faced Tom O'Gorman and Ger Lenihan's side.

The O'Gorman/Lenihan side were ahead at half-time, leading 3-4 to 2-3, however it was to be ladies luck, as Jeny's team came out victorious after a good battling second-half. Final score was 5-13 to 6-6.

Best on the night for the winners was Joanne Carstairs and Brenda Fox for the O'Gorman/Lenihan team. There were more prizes on the night, Sarah Miley picked up, Best Senior Player of the 7s, Katie Coleman and Lara Scheffman both got Most Improved Players of the 7s and Amy Murphy picked up Best Juvenile Player of the 7s.

The Ladies AGM was held on Sunday evening last and the Ladies Committee for 2010 will be as follows: Chairperson: Anne Gaskin, Vice Chairperson: Lorna O'Gorman, Secretary: Maureen Cronin, Treasurer: Ellen O'Gorman, PRO: Lorna O'Gorman.

KILCOOLE

The first occasion to celebrate 125 years of our club is fast approaching with the Dinner Dance in the Parkview Hotel in Newtown on Saturday the 27th of February. Tickets are available from John Toner, Eithne Walsh, Pappy Frawley and Sarah Donnelly, they are €45 each.

Training for all footballers continues at the GAA pitch on Tuesdays and Thursdays at half seven under the new lights.

Ladies football training continues on Mondays at 7.30 p.m. and Wednesdays at 7 p.m. on the pitch, all welcome.

U12 hurling: No training this week. The indoor tournament in Arklow will continue on Saturday, 20th February, details to be confirmed.

U10 hurling: No training this week. Our U-10 hurlers continued their good form in the indoor tournament in Arklow on Saturday last. Winning 7-0 against Liam Mellows in the first game, followed by a 1-0 win over Aughrim, which included a vital save made by our superb keeper Marwan, it proved the turning point of the game as we scored directly afterwards.

We lost the last game 6-3 to Bray, however we retained second place in the competition overall. Scorers on the day included, Cian, Glenn, Leo, Dan, Oisin and Seán, with great performances by Brian, Kael, Ross and Marwan.

With two rounds left to go in this competition we look forward to having as much support as possible for the next day. Thanks to all who travelled down and took part.

U-8/6 Hurling: No training this week.

KILCOOLE CAMOGIE

Kilcoole Camogie Club held the Annual Juvenile Presentation Night at Kilcoole Golf Club on Tuesday.

All U-14, U-12, U-10, U-9, U-8 and Nursery - Grasshoppers were honoured on the night. All these players had a very busy time in 2009 with matches - competitive and otherwise - in Wicklow and Dublin. Special awards were given to our three county players at the Under-14 age group - Erin Horan, Aisling McCabe and Aoife Keddy - and they were given presentations to mark the year for them.

Erin also got an award for representing us on the county under-15 team. Well done to everyone!

Thanks to everybody who helped behind the scenes and to the golf club staff for having us!

All players are aboard for our Sports Prediction League as closing time was midnight on Friday. Many thanks for your support - we now look forward to the first scores which should come online during the second half of March.
