The club had their annual election of officers last week and the following officers were elected. Mick Murtagh – Chairperson, Aisling Grace – Secretary and Colin Byrne – Treasurer. We would welcome anybody who would like to come on board the committee and anybody interested should contact any of the above.
A great evening was had in the Dunlavin Clubhouse on Saturday evening last when St. Nicholas had their annual Presentation evening. The U-12 boys were presented with their Division 1 League medals and South West Championship medals. The U-14 boys received their A Shield medals and their South West Championship medals. The U-16 girls and West Minor girls received their B Championship medals and the U12 girls were presented with a lovely record of their year by their team mentors.
Player of the Year awards were presented at the various age groups to Patrick Kelly, Eoin Murtagh, Mary Healy, Paul Murtagh, Emma Byrne, James Sinnott, Niamh Whelan, Harry Coleborn and Sarah Reid and Sorcha Wright, Stephen O' Brien, Ciara Byrne, Kevin Scanlon, Wendy Daynes, Conor Healy, Mairead Glennon and Aaron Phelan received awards for being the most improved players at each age group.
The coveted places on the All Star Team were announced at the end of the night and the members of the All Star girls team are as follows; Ciara Brooks, Jackie Hanbidge, Mary Healy, Sinéad Keogh, Aoife Grace, Sarah Reid, Anna Kelly, Laura Allen, Kadie Adams, Lisa Lawlor, Emma Byrne, Sarah Peppard, Aoife Sinnott, Niamh Whelan, Chloe Dwyer.
The members of the boys team are as follows; Darragh Figgis, James Sinnott, Jimmy Kelly, William Kennedy, Harry Coleborn, Stephen Deering, Thomas Whelan, William Byrne, Paul Murtagh, Patrick Kelly, Kevin Kealy, Richard Harte, Marty Caplis, Eoin Murtagh, Cian O' Sullivan. St. Nicholas U-12 girls will start training on Monday evening the 8th March from 6.30 – 8pm in Dunlavin GAA Clubhouse. All new members welcome. Contact Eamon (087/7545378) for further details.
U-16 and Minor training continues on Friday nights at 7pm in Dunlavin. Minors have first League match away next Sunday at 6pm. See local notice for more details.
