THE LEINSTER Vocational Schools inter county football final between Wicklow and Meath takes place in Dublin's Parnell Park on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Meath will start favourites as they seek a third successive title. The last time the two counties met was in the 2004 final when Meath had a comfortable win.
Meath scored good wins over Offaly and Longford to reach the final.
Wicklow easily overcame Wexford but had only a point to spare over Dublin in the semi-final in Roundwood. They will need to improve on that performance if they are to be successful on Saturday.
A number of Wicklow players were nursing injuries during the week having played two matches in four days and it is hoped that they will all be fit for Saturday.
A number of Wicklow players have shown good form in the previous games including Paul Miley, James Byrne, Seán Ryder, Jody Merrigan and Eamon Wolfe.
If the whole team can play the full hour in the same spirit as they did in the last ten minutes against Dublin they can upset the odds and bring another Leinster title to the Garden County.
