Wicklow: The following are the results of recent competition at Wicklow Golf Club. Saturday, January 30, 14-hole sweep: 1st. Ray Wheatley (14) 39 points, 2nd. Rubin Dover (15) 36 points, 3rd. Tommy Murphy (18) 33 points.
Thursday, January 28, 14-hole singles: 1st. Willie Cuffe (22) 38 points; 2nd. Paul Quinn (14) 35 points; 3rd. David Hallihan (10) 34 points.
Woodenbridge
Men's Competition, February 6: Scotch Foursomes. Mark Burke (8) and Barney Joyce (8) 64; Donal Coughlan (10) and Christy Stedman (24) 64.
Bridge Hotel Golf Society
Bridge Hotel Golf Society competition, sponsored by Patrick Hoey, played at Arklow Golf Club last week: Winner: Gus Huzzar with 37 nett; Class 1: Tom Craine 34 nett; Class 2: Fintan O'Connor 32 nett; Nearest The Pin: Gus Huzzar 28 inches; Longest Drive: John Huzzar; Front 9: Harry Kavanagh 21 nett; Back 9: Roy Brauders 18 nett.
Next week's competition is the Captains Drive-in (Jimmy Russell's) at Blackwater Golf Club, tee-off at 11 o'clock. A.G.M. in the Bridge Hotel on Wednesday, February 10, at 8 o'clock. The Society members would like to thank Patrick Hoey for the lovely prizes and food on Saturday.

The dry but cold weather brought out 109 players for our sweepstake competition last weekend. Winter League starts back this weekend 13th February with draws every 30 minutes.
