The Bridge Hotel Golf Society's Annual Captains Drive-in (Jimmy Russell's) competition was held at Blackwater Golf Club last week, results as follows: 1st nett: Tom Craine with 37 nett; Class 2: Jimmy Tyrrell 36 nett; Class 1: Gus Huzzar 37 nett; Nearest The Pin: Glynn Davenport; Front Nine: Paul Doyle 20 points; Back Nine: Ger Nugent 21 points.

The Society's Annual General Meeting was held in the Bridge Hotel on Wednesday, February 10.

The elected officers for the coming year - President: Jim Hoey; Captain: Jimmy Russell; Vice-Captain: Roy Brouders; Secretary: Dennis Naughter; Treasurer: Patrick Hoey; Handicap Sec.: Tom Craine; Past Captain: Shaun Carey; Committee: Peter Kearns, Glynn Davenport, and Tony Foley.

Award winners for 2009 were Player of the Year, Anthony Doyle, Clubman of the Year, Shaun Carey. Players/Player of the Year, kindly sponsored by Thomas Halpin, was won by Tom Craine.
