Coollattin staged an eighteen holes stableford competition at the weekend. In spite of the frequent heavy downpours no less than 216 members competed.
The winner, Lar O'Brien, playing off a handicap of 20, returned a magnificent score of 47 points. Runner up with a score of 45 points was Aughrim member Gerry Holt (21). Best gross went to local two handicapper Martin O'Neill who returned a score of 34 points. In third place was Fergus Garret (17) with a score of 42 points. The prizes for Saturday and Sunday went to Paul Murphy (11) and Praba Sankaran (18), respectively.
