THE CAPTAIN'S Dinner was held at Baltinglass Golf Club last Saturday night. Both Captains Mary Deegan and Michael Browne thanked everyone who helped them during the year to make their year very special, especially their families and they also thanked everyone who attended the dinner. The presentations to Mens golfer of the year Brian Foley, Singles Matchplay Brian Lord and runner up Patrick Browne, and also to the three-in-arow Fourball winners John Doran jnr. and Michael Murphy who announced they are ready to go for the unprecedented four-in-a-row. A great night was had by all

The Ladies AGM was held last Thursday night. Lady Captain Mary Deegan thanked her committee, her Secretary Maria Walshe, and all the ladies who helped her make her year a very memorable one, and she wished next year's committee every success.

Mary then presented the silver spoon to Mary Gorry, the silver medal to Joanne Daly and the bronze medal and golfer of the year to Teresa Doogue. Mary then introduced next year's Captain Olivia Cooney. Olivia said how much she appreciated the honour and looked forward to a very successful year with the cooperation of all the members.

Lady President Ann Sammon congratulated the Ladies committee on doing a great job during the year and commended the Lady Captain. The full Ladies committee for 2010 is: Lady President June Smith, Lady Captain Olivia Cooney, Lady Vice Captain Margo Doyle, Lady Hon Secretary Mai Quaid, and the 5 committee members are Paula Cadden, Joanne Daly, Assumpta Doody, Gen Doyle and Catherine Lord.

Ladies 14 Holes Singles Stableford results: Winner: Lil Flynn (22) 34 points; runner-up: Mary Gorry (5) 24 points.

Mass in memory of deceased members will be held in the clubhouse this Saturday, December 5 at 6pm.

The AGM of Baltinglass Golf Club will be held this Sunday evening December 6 at 6pm sharp.
