The club has decided to work with the Jack & Jill Foundation on a great idea whereby the teams in our club can get free jerseys in return for old mobile phones. We need every household to bring us in old mobile phones so that we can get jerseys for your child's team and not have to buy them as usual. It also means that you are helping an Irish charity that is doing its best to help Irish families with terminally ill kids. Please make the effort and dig out those old phones for this worthy cause. In the coming weeks we will have details on collection points etc. as we work hard to reach our target. Players from the club celebrating birthdays in the coming week are two players from our Girl's Under 15 team namely Chantelle Owens and Becky Cassin. Happy birthday girls from everyone at Newtown Juniors F.C. For all queries/matters relating to the club contact Hughie at 087-6987653 or visit our website www.newtownjuniors.com.

The academy is under the watchful eye of experienced coach Johnny Dunne. It takes place on the all weather pitch in the Whitegates every Saturday morning from 11 till 12 and the academy is open to all boys and girls from the age of three years old upwards, so all you potential Robbie Keanes, Wayne Rooneys and Ronaldos get the gear on and get down to the Whitegates and enjoy the fun of soccer.
