Wednesday February 17 2010
HAVING been absent from the final for six years, Presentation College Bray took their first step in impressive fashion with a comprehensive victory over St. Patrick's (Navan) in their Leinster Junior Cup game played on Wednesday last.
The victory was as comprehensive as the final scoreline suggests for the Presentation boys ran in four tries in a game they dominated from the very start.
Presentation College were inspired by a superb performance from their No. 8 Cormac O'Donoghue, who capped a commanding performance with an excellent try.
Dominant in the pack they added further tries through Daire Henderson, Luke Maloney and Conor Pearse, while full-back Diarmuid Masterson, who displayed excellent handling through the game, chipped in with a penalty and two conversions. The variety of Presentation College's style in dismantling the Meath college was reflected in their four tries which were the result of some excellent movement, ball handling skills and support play.
