Boys in Green set for Arklow return

ARKLOW TOWN Football Club once again welcomes the Republic of Ireland U-16 team to Bridgewater Centre Park for a friendly fixture between John Morling's national side and the Arklow Town/Sheffield United U-16 Academy next Wednesday (March 10).

The Arklow club agreed a co-operative partnership agreement with English club Sheffield United last summer and their U-16 Academy side will face the young boys in green.

The Republic of Ireland's U16 squad consists of an elite group of players who are being developed under manager John Morling to step up to competitive at UEFA Championship standard and having earlier this month faced Italy , Portugal and Holland in tournament action out in Albufeira, will now return to home shores and the short trek down to Arklow.

Admission for the clash between the Arklow Town/Sheffield United Academy and the Republic of Ireland U16's is free and takes place at Arklow's Bridgewater Centre Park, Lamberton on Wednesday, March 10 with a 7.00pm kick off.
