Enniskerry's winning run is ended

SEVEN MONTHS after kicking off their league campaign Enniskerry YC have finally lost their 100 per cent record after being held to a 11 draw by Glenview FC B on Friday night.
The Berryfield Lane side had previously won all nine of their league matches to give themselves a six-point lead at the top of the table but they proved that they were only human this week, failing to win for the very first time in the league this season.
They took the lead shortly before the hour mark through Oscar Traynor man Paul O'Reilly but the hosts equalized from the penalty spot after former Enniskerry man Ashley McDonagh was felled by Youth Club goalkeeper Craig Williams.
There was also as big match at the other end of the table at the weekend with bottom sides St. Fergal's AFC and Glencormac United facing each other at the Ballywaltrim Community Centre.
Both sides will be frustrated with the result, a 1-1 draw, as realistically both needed the three points.
Nine points now separate Kilmac side United from safety, while for Fergal's the gap is 14 points, although the Saints have played the least number of games in the division. Ian Devlin netted the visitors effort.
