Hughie in running for national award

CONGRATULATIONS TO Newtown Juniors' Hughie Nolan who has been short-listed for the National Sports Volunteer of the Year award.
Hughie is extremely heavily involved in everything that goes on at the Newtown club, as well as several other commitments. He currently manages one Newtown side, while he is the assistant manager of the Wicklow U-12 team, coaches the Wicklow Ladys Academy every Monday night in Finn Park, Kilcoole and also trains some of the girls in Loreto Bray.
The die-hard Chelsea fan can always be seen at the Carlisle Grounds cheering on Bray Wanderers with his children and has been described as one of the nicest and most obliging men youll ever meet, who eats, sleeps and breathes football.
The ceremony is taking place in the Farmleigh House, Dublin, tomorrow (Wednesday) and there can hardly be a more deserving recipient out there than Hughie.
