McShane joins Palace on loan
PAUL MCSHANE has joined Crystal Palace on loan for a month as he bids to keep his Euro 2012 hopes alive.
The Republic of Ireland and Hull City defender has made a meagre two appearances at the KC Stadium this season and therefore has been allowed to join the Eagles by Hull manager Nicky Barmby.
26 year old Mcshane made his debut for Palace on Saturday when he was a 67th minute replacement for Mustapha Dumbuya as they drew 1-1 with Simon Grayson's Leeds United. The Kilpedder man could now help Palace secure a trip to Wembley when they take on Cardiff City in the second leg of their Carling Cup semi final next Tuesday (January 24), having won 1-0 in the first leg.
They would then potentially face either Liverpool or Manchester City in the final, with the Anfield men also holding a 1-0 advantage in their tie.
