Noble prize for excellent Wicklow Rovers

Wicklow Rovers C 3, Avonmore 2: THIS WAS a very entertaining affair between two evenly matched sides that saw the home side take a first minute lead when Aidan Long scored from just inside the area.
Avonmore responded straight away with a fine finish from Cian Ward to level the match at 1-1.
In a game that was end to end Rovers restored their lead with a well taken goal from Nathan Sullivan just before the break.
The first five minutes of the second half saw Avonmore applying pressure on the home team and were rewarded when Cormac McGraynor equalised.
With six minutes remaining on the clock Rovers broke down field and Jamie Noble cut in from the right and hit a low drive to the bottom corner of the net for what proved to be the winning goal.
